PHOTO HUNT, THANKFUL!

We are so thankful that our baby brother, Teak is starting to feel better and is now even playing! This might sound weird but he was sick over two weeks before Mommy adopted him. He had medicine to finish and had to be in the big cage so he could rest and get better. That didn't happen...Mommy rushed him to our Vet and he got different meds then he was in the cage for another week till he finished. Now he is staying in our grammom's room and has bonded with Tang. Two days after he was altered, he began loosing the hair over his eyes and was hiding again.......the coughing returned so Mom picked up that same medicine again. One night she really thought Teak was going to cross over......she took him on her lap, then started tapping his ribs and back to loosen the fluid. ...........Mommy learned to do this when her youngest son had asthma attacks from the time he was one to about 10 years, ........as his lungs grew the attacks stopped! Teak had blood tests Tuesday...the Vet called Thursday with news things were normal! He is eating again and playing a bit with Tang...this is a very good sign. He still hides sometimes under Grammom's bed but comes out to play on the cat tree. Mommy is gonna start holding Teak while showing him all around the house once a day so he will not be afraid to join his other brothers someday.........hopefully soon. We are all Thankful Teak is OK!=^Y^=the Cat Street Boyz

Formally Feral Friday

Cherokee, (front), belonged to an older lady but when she passed on her family just put him out of the house so they could sell it. Luckily a neighbor new (Ralphie) and tried to get him in her house but that didn't work so he became feral for quite sometime. She was putting food out to keep him visiting and then got help to trap him. He was given to a rescue group that altered him and put him up for adoption. Our Mommy was the second person to adopt him 'cause the first adoption didn't work, they didn't like him hiding all the time. It took Mommy 1 month for it to go through and that was because the woman that ran the group was on vacation. I stopped by to hold Cherokee as often as I could and they saw how much I wanted him so they told me to just take him. Yes, Cherokee hid all the time at first and Mommy had to give him a sleepy pill to get him to our new house. But after catching a photo of him yawning she saw his problem....his teeth were really bad! Why, when he was sedated for altering, was he not checked over by the vet??? A cats mouth condition should be important in evaluation for adoption. The Vet had to pull most of his teeth and polished the very few that were left. Now he is a very different cat, he sits on anyone's lap, begs for food, and does not fear the dogs. March 1st, Cherokee AKA also lovingly known as Kee Kee, will be 15 years old!
(Tinker and Cherokee) There isn't even one of us brothers that shows disrespect for our Kee Kee. He is the last surviving kitty from the first cat family with our beans. You are forever LOVED Kee Kee!=^Y^=

Just so happens our fifth folder is of Mom's NYC trip in May of 08! The fifth photo is of the quaint supermarket across from her hotel apartment! Mom, her daughter and Ray booked a Hotel apartment for a few days at the Marmara Hotel on the upper east side in Manhattan. They took a nice bus trip from Doylestown into NYC which took about 1 1/2 hours. They took a cab from the bus terminal right to the Hotel, dropped off their stuff and went exploring. First was this market. They bought some food and drinks to stock the kitchen. The owner there was so nice and there was a tiny kitten wandering in the store. Mom asked about the kitten and he said it just wondered in the day before so he has been taking care of it. We are amazed it made it to the store and not the street!!!! Anyway, our beans went back to their apartment, filled the kitchen......got a snack then went wondering around the city! They had so much FUN!!!!

Academy Award Entry, "Talula Torby"

This is a short, (below), from the story of Miss Talula Torby.

She was a beautiful dance hall purformer. While a mewsician played in the background, Talula would twirl and sway upon a table melting many a tom cats heart. Set back in the corner, watching with adoring eyes was Toy, a mere Street Cat. He was mesmerized by her graceful moves, gorgeous silky hair and her sapphire eyes. Unexpectedly, Talula glanced in Toys direction. His large expressive eyes met hers........a magical moment only to be broken by a fleeting tail belonging to Tyco, known by many as the town scoundrel. He seated himself front and center to Toys discomfort. Talula seemed uneasy by this dark turn of events too. It was apparent Tyco had a thing for Talula. She however, had heard tales of his shady past and wanted nothing to do with him. As the evening purgressed, it was obvious Tyco was hittin' the niptini quite heavily, becoming loud and obnoxious. Would Toy now be faced with a difficult situation??? Was Toy jussssst a mere Street Cat??? Dum.dum......da..dum!!!!!!!!!!Please turn up your volume for the short below, The management thanks you! {{Giggle}}=^Y^=

UNDER THE DOOR play turns.......

Oh..so there aren't zillions of mice running ..UNDER THE DOOR....the first furkid that wants to play must let the kitty who sent their mousie UNDER THE DOOR know they got it and they want to play.....that way they can let other kitties know their mousie was found.....then it goes to the finder...and so on....=^Y^=

"UNDER THE DOOR".......want to play?

Gracie from, Manx Mnews sent her cute mousie on an adventure, UNDER THE DOOR!
"Hello little mousie.......what.......Gracie(Manx Mnews) sent you, UNDER THE DOOR...are you OK? You look a bit dizzy. Don't worry I will take good care of you........now I must pick a mousie to travel.....UNDER THE DOOR."
"Aw, big hugg...kiss....kiss"
"Bye my sweet mousie, don't worry, some nice kitty will be waiting on the other side of the door to take care of you."
Ty, "If you got my mousie, please take care of it! Then send one of your mousies under the door to someone else......you might even get your own mousie back someday, YEAH! Let your furend know you got their mousie. Do you want to play, UNDER THE DOOR?"

Tuesday's Troubles

Mommy bought us a new littermaid from BJs. It was on sale for just 79 dollars and it came with the tent, 12 poo containers and lids, extra mat, air fresh unit, a little brush, scooper and ramp!!
BUT.........it broke down in just over 2 weeks!!!#*!<: ( >?*#!!! Boy was Mommy upset......this was our third auto pan!!! The first was a littermaid elite. The sides were to low, it dumped the litter all over and under the place and the litter stuck on the s.s. teeth! Anyway, after a few months it burned out. Our beans figured it was because the switch was on top of the back in a well and being we are all boyz....of course pee spurted there but it only started after Ty began using it! Then Mommy went cat pan shopping AGAIN and bought us a Petmate which lasted over a year!! Then it started making a squealing noise and we were afraid to use it. Mom found pieces of the rubber belt under the wheel on the side, took a photo and we are still waiting to get an answer on that one. When Mommy saw this Littermaid model, with high sides and the switch on the side, AND the bar with thick plastic teeth goes up and flat before dumping, to sift the good litter through, well she thought it would be perfect!!!! She ordered another online since the store was sold out. Then after she got the email it was on it's way.............trouble!............figures doesn't it!
Finally, Dad took the first one all apart and used a meter to try and find the problem. We had to know what went wrong before setting up the new pan that just arrived.
Problem found! The pee seeped through the battery lid or the on button light, fell onto the circuit board so it just shut down as the bar came to the front. It stopped us from entering our pan so we were glad Mommy checks it several times a day!! Mommy said if anyone has only female kitties it will work great. You would think that Littermaid, after getting many, many complaints, would have fixed this themselves. Mommy has sent them emails and has called but can't understand the operators answering because they are in another country!!!! More jobs lost to other countries!!!!
Soooo, Mommy cut one of the liners from the previous Petmate auto cat pan, fit it to the back to cover the problem area. It has been peed on however not a drop has hit the troubled zone!
Mommy used double stick velcro under the plastic to hold the cover. Since it is made of sturdy plastic it should hold up for quite some time. She cleans the cover with scented hand sanitizer which seems to stop Ty from peeing on it!! Mom said the next cover will fit better because this was the first try...she won't need that silver tape because she will cut a flaps. YEAH, Paw pats from all of us Mom & Dad!

Reflections, Remembering Hamlet

Hamlet was one of our first and best furends when we started learning our way on the internet. He was one of the many rescued furkids belonging to the CoolCyberCats. Hamlet left for the bridge in August of 2005. Lots of hearts were broken, he would not be seen on the cams any more. His Daddy David loved him so much and will always carry his love deep in his heart till they meet again.
We love and miss you dear Hamlet
