Oh No'z, Tinker is sick.......

Today Mommy noticed that Tinker's chin was swollen. He is still eating but he is laying around and looking sad. Mommy says, it never fails, just when things seem balanced something tips the scales. Tinker has to go to the Vet Monday and of course Mommy is worried and keeping a very ((CLOSE)) eye on him.
Since our Grammom got better, Mom's oldest son, Boomer, lost his footing on a slippery ramp and his chest hit the railing. He fractured his ribs so he has been in lots of pain for weeks but finally this past week he started feeling better. Now it's Tinker..............Good Grief!

We are sending purrs that it is something that can be easily treated. Flynn gets a swollen chin sometimes because he is always rubbing it on everything to leave his smell.

Oh, no! We're sending our loudest purrs to Tinker, hoping it's nothing serious and can easily be remedied.

Must be the weekend for it; Derry has another UTI and is off the vet tomorrow too. :-(

Charles gets chin bumps like this and most of the time, it is an abcess from one of the other cats (probably the Princess) whacking him one. Try a warm wash cloth and try to get it to come to a head. Much easier for the vet to lance, if need be.

Hoping all goes well today with Tinker, fingers (and paws) crossed.

Thanks for the suggestions re: Derry. That jacket makes me think of a straight jacket. LOL. I think Derry would be more stressed wearing it. :-)

He's such a nervous boy...Going to try some of the Composure (Vetri-Science) calming treats and probably something for daily UTI support too, before I go the route of any drugs.

As for sound insulation--it's a blown-in, high-density type of insulation. It would be a HUGE job to take down the drywall of the this two-story unit, the entire length of it. But blown in is easier and less costly (!), though still out of my budget. There are also areas in the stairwells that would need to have blown-in as well, because a lot of the sound is coming from them. So not an option at this time, unfortunately. Apparently the blown-in would reduce the sound of voices and stereos by about 75%, but wouldn't help the pounding up and down the stairs.
