It has been crazy the past several days. Mom's oldest son, Boomer, got bit by a spider (twice!) right on the chin. The next day it was swelling so he put a heated smooth rock on the area. Seemed like it was helping but the following morning it was so swollen that he had to go to the hospital. Boomer could barely open his mouth and now his neck was swollen! The doctors lanced his chin in several places, took a culture, gave him a pain killer and 3 antibiotics. When he came home all he felt like doing was sleeping. Then, the very next morning, he had to go back to the hospital and they put him on IVs. The culture would not be back till last Tuesday however they scared him by saying it was (mersa!) Now, not only did he feel pain, he was also feeling terrified. Mommy started checking the internet to get all the info on this skin disease. In her findings she believed it to be a staph infection but that did not stop the worry. The doctor said they see 1 mersa case every day so he knows what he is seeing. Well, you know Moms, they always (try) and keep things calm till the results come in....AND......MOM WAS RIGHT!!!! Stupid doctor...he scared our whole family!!! From that point on, Boomer felt relief and began healing.

Now we seem to have a pair of eagles flying around and one dove down to size up our puppy! Mom went racing down from the deck and scooped up baby ICE and screamed at the eagle! Giant spiders, eagles, hawks, owls, coyotes, fox, vultures, heron, black bear on occasion......."Mom, when are we moving to the city?" ....Oh, she said there are different predators there! SIGH".........

Mom says, Daisies make her smile.........I like them too! It's suppose to be a warm and dry week...YEAH!!!!
